MIDDLEBURY — George A.
Ray, 89, of Middlebury, died November 17, at Gaylord Hospital. He
was the husband of Doris E. (Greene) Ray for more than 60 years.
Mr. Ray was born in Amherst, Mass., on June 2, 1926, the son
of Frank E. and Ruth P. (Eger) Ray. Mr. Ray was a graduate of
Bordentown Military Institute and American International College.
He served in the U.S. Army Counter-Intelligence Corps as a
special agent. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner at the Sphinx
Temple.
For more than 37 years he owned and operated GAR
Electroforming in Danbury.
Besides his wife, Mr. Ray is
survived by a daughter, Cindy Palomba and her husband, Thomas; a son,
Todd Ray; four grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Anna-Lisa Ray and
Beverly Snell; a brother-in-law, William Snell; and several nieces
and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Frank Ray and
his wife, June, and by his brother, Dr. Charles E. Ray.
