McIlwain Jr. James Clyde, James (Mac) Clyde McIlwain Jr., 76, originally of Elliston, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. He was born on January 12, 1938 in Wilkinsburg, Pa., to the late James C. McIlwain, Sr. and Jean Sharp McIlwain. He retired after numerous years as an accountant; working for Greenhill Pork Products in his early years and Southern Printing Company for the remainder of his accounting career. During his time of leisure Mac enjoyed anything that had to do with baseball. He thoroughly enjoyed his time spent as a little league baseball coach in Elliston and was a diehard fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. During the off season he would transition his attention to football as he was also a true fan of the Washington Redskin organization. Family remaining to cherish his life includes his only son, James (Jay) C. McIlwain, III and wife, Cassie; grandchildren, Rhianna, Sara and Alec; and nieces, Karen, Robin and Kimberly McIlwain. A Memorial Service o honor Mac's life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem with the Rev. Tom Clay officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
