Merle E. Hagen, Jr., Passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at his Melbourne, Fla. residence.

After graduation from Dartmouth College and the US Navy's V-12 program, he served during World War II aboard the destroyer escort USS Huse. After the war, he returned to the Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth, earning his Master's Degree. He remained active in the Naval Reserve, retiring as a Captain. Following a career in business and then as a professor of business administration, he retired to Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife, and wife. Survivors include two brothers, three children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, his family suggests a memorial gift to charity or the organization of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, Palm Bay, FL.
