REV. JAMES GORDON DULL, WAKE FOREST, NC

Reverend James Gordon Dull, Roman Catholic Priest Passed away on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 at Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC following a twelve-day illness. He was born January 20, 1947, Passaic, NJ. He attended St. Mary's Grammar and High School, Rutherford, NJ Class of 1964. He attended Bordentown Military Institute, Bordentown, NJ, for one year high school post graduate year. Won Cadet of the Year Honors in 1965, Seton Hall University (Divinity School) and graduated in 1969, Theological Studies at Immaculate Conception Seminary, Darlington, New Jersey. Ordained a Roman Catholic Priest for the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Newark, New Jersey, on May 26, 1973. Received M.A. from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey, May 15, 1976. Served at St. Mary's, Nutley, NJ, Oratory Prep School, Summit, NJ, Our Lady of Libera, West New York, NJ, and Sacred Heart Cathedral, Newark, NJ. Also served in the Diocese of Trenton, NJ at St. Justin's Parish, Toms River, NJ and St. Pius X Parish, Forked River, NJ. Transferred to the Diocese of Raleigh, NC and served briefly at St. Bernadette's Parish, Fuquay-Varina, NC and currently parochial Vicar at St. Catherine of Siena, Wake Forest, NC.

He was predeceased by his parents, James Dull, Sr. and Gertrude Honor Dull. Survived by his Sister, Marya (Dull) Washington and her husband, James; Brothers, Carl and wife, Linda of Rochester Hills, Michigan, John and wife Helen, Rutherford, NJ and by his long time close friend, Rev. Salvatore A. Busichio. Several nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by brother, Martin Dull. He was a Member of K of C.

A Vigil will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest, NC on Tuesday, December 15th from 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Raleigh at St. Catheirne of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest, NC on Wednesday, December 16th at 10:30. Following the funeral Mass, burial will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove, NC. Arrangements by Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Wake Forest, N.C.
